Access Alliance is the alliance between Main Roads WA, Brierty Ltd and AECOM

Great Northern Highway Upgrade: Muchea to Wubin
 
Access Alliance has undertaking construction work on a significant project to upgrade sections of the Great Northern Highway between Muchea and Bindi Bindi in Western Australia’s Wheatbelt Region. Some preconstruction work was done for sections between Bindi Bindi and Wubin.
 
The upgrade works have greatly improved the safety, driving experience and travel times along the Great Northern Highway as a commuter, tourist and major goods transport route.
 
Access Alliance undertook construction during the drier months from December 2007 through to June 2010. The official road opening ceremony was held and the Muchea project office was closed in early July 2010. 
 
In February 2010 Access Alliance won a WorkSafe WA Gold Certificate of Achievement for their commitment to on the job safety.
 
There are current applications submitted for recognition of the project through Engineers Australia in two categories: Infrastructure and Building, and Environment. Access Alliance has also been nominated for the award of Alliance Team of Excellence in a Project Alliance through the Alliancing Association of Australasia.
