Safety Policy

The Access Alliance Team is committed to delivery of this Project in a manner that identifies opportunities for enhancement of the built environment and reflects industry best practice in maintaining a healthy and safe workplace.

The team aims to create a legacy that provides direction and guidance for future projects by:

  • Addressing all requirements of AS 4801-2001 in an Integrated Management System;
  • Complying with legislation, codes and other commitments;
  • Implementing Plans and Procedures addressing all safety requirements;
  • Regularly monitoring and reviewing policies, plans and procedures for continuous improvement;
  • Identifying, eliminating and controlling risks;
  • Sourcing and utilising the best experience;
  • Ensuring that all parties including suppliers and subcontractors are competent to perform their work and are responsible for:
    • Working in a safe manner;
    • Reducing workplace injury;
    • Participating in training;
    • Complying with Project Rules
    • Identifying and reporting potential impacts and hazards.
  • Engaging with and supporting stakeholders;
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring objectives and Key performance Indicators;
  • Seeking opportunities for creating shared vision, improvement; and knowledge transfer; and
  • Achieving exceptional outcomes.

The Access Alliance Management Team invites all personnel working on this Project to commit to this Safety Policy that aims to achieve a benchmark for future projects.

Environment Policy

Access Alliance will demonstrate due diligence in the provision of design services and manage its construction work activities in a manner that is open and transparent, balanced and interactive and consistent with the environmental protection and management principles set by State and Commonwealth law. It will deliver continuous improvement in its environmental performance. It will do this through:

  • Integrating environmental duty of care into business planning and day to day activities by including environmental considerations in all aspects of strategic planning of our road and asset management.
  • Determining and reviewing the environmental effects of our activities.
  • Conducting our operations, whether carried out directly by or for the Alliance, in accordance with relevant legislation and government policy and agreements.
  • Minimising pollution and environmental impacts as a result of the planned activities.
  • Promoting the efficient use, reuse and recycling of resources, and the minimisation of waste.
  • Involving stakeholders in planning and implementation decisions.
  • Providing our employees with the skills, awareness and leadership to achieve permitted compliance and program objectives.
  • Monitoring, reviewing and reporting on the environmental performance of the organisation.
  • Ensuring the continued development and implementation of an environmental management system with provision for auditing and reviewing progress.

Quality Policy

Access Alliance commits to a management system that complies with AS/NZS Standards and ISO 9001:2000. Our performance, growth and success is achieved by providing a distinctive quality product by challenging the norm and striving for continual improvement.
